Fordson Power Major

The Fordson Power Major, built at Dagenham from 1958 to 1961, was an uprated development of the New Major (E1A) featuring a higher-output Ford diesel engine, improved transmission, and live-drive hydraulics. Nebraska Tractor Test 685 recorded 42.63 drawbar horsepower and 47.65 PTO horsepower, roughly a quarter more than the New Major it replaced. It was a rugged, popular mid-size utility tractor across Britain, Europe, and export markets.
