John Deere Model B

Row-crop tractor · 1935–1952 · Distillate

The John Deere Model B was the smaller companion to the Model A, sized as roughly a two-plow tractor for small and mid-size farms. Built for an extraordinary 17 years with continual upgrades, it grew from a 149-cubic-inch engine in 1935 to 190 cubic inches by 1952. Along with the Model A, the B defined Deere's distinctive two-cylinder "Johnny Popper" era and remains one of the most collected antique tractors today.
