The David Brown 950 succeeded the 900 in 1958, adding the Twin-Range transmission and, in the 950 Implematic form of 1959, David Brown's Implematic depth-control hydraulics. Powered by a four-cylinder diesel of about 42 hp, it was a capable mid-size tractor for general farm work. It was built at Meltham Mills as part of David Brown's rapid late-1950s model development.
