David Brown 30D

The David Brown 30D was the larger, more powerful diesel sibling of the 25 Series, built at Meltham Mills from 1953 to 1957. In 1954 the 30C and 30D introduced David Brown's TCU (Traction Control Unit), widely regarded as the world's first controlled weight-transfer system for a tractor. Its four-cylinder CAD4/3 diesel gave it useful extra pulling power for heavier field work.
