The Minneapolis-Moline Model U was the company's largest and most successful row-crop tractor, in production from 1938 to 1957. Rated as a 3-4 plow machine, it delivered about 45 belt horsepower and pioneered factory LP-gas power. Minneapolis-Moline was the first major manufacturer to offer LP-gas engines, and the U led that industry-wide shift.
